Social narratives are stories that use visual representations to showcase social situations and appropriate behaviors. In my experience, creating such representations of human behavior or events can spark a conversation. Showing the irony, absurdity, connection, or clash of activities that people do can lead to a point of discussion. Having dissimilar elements juxtaposed against each other causes a chain event of our thought process, leading to one hopefully asking questions or pondering the why, what and where! I look to use these images to first help me make sense of the world around me and second to cause others to question and challenge a status quo. Some times its also the joy of just capturing a moment in time that gives me hope or inspiration.
